OH M GEE! You'll Never Guess Who I Met...

I can not express to you in words the excitement I have experienced this week! First of all, Happy Mother's Day to you all and to my special and wonderful Mom! (Love You :) )

Okay, Okay, now for the excitement. Yes, I know I am probably too old to be this pumped about what I am about to say, but whatever! I can't help! So here it goes.... This past Saturday I got to meet..... Giuliana and Bill Rancic!

G and B were in Beaumont, Texas this Saturday as the keynote speakers for the Christus LiveWell Event. Hats off to Christus for the amazing event! This event was all about women and their health. There were different health screens available, clothing and shopping booths, and a variety of sessions for women to enjoy! But, let's get real. I was there to see Giuliana and Bill (great marketing Christus!)

These two were absolutely everything you think they would be. After watching E! News religiously, The Apprentice, and their reality show, it's safe to say I felt as though I know them personally and had expectations of what they would be like if I were to meet them in person. Well, my expectations were right. They were both kind, sweet, and did I mention gorgeous? I honestly couldn't say who I was more excited to see, Giuliana or Bill? Let's just say both!

As the keynote speakers, G and B were actually somewhat interviewed on stage with our local newscaster. She asked questions about how they met, about their son, and of course Giuliana's breast cancer. No question phased them and every question was answered in true G and B fashion (if you watched their reality show, you know what I mean)! Instead of coming out directly to the stage, the two of them sat at a table in the crowd and enjoyed their lunch just like the rest of us. As a crowd gather around their table to sneak a picture of the famous couple, they never once made it seem as though it bothered them. They gracefully took picture after picture with anyone and everyone that asked.

One of the things that I took away from their speech was when Giuliana said that Bill likes to reverse engineer his life. Bill said he thinks about his "golden days" during each decision he makes. Meaning, when he's in his last few days of living would this certain decision still be important to him. Would he regret doing or not doing this? Would he wished he'd spent more time with his family? What great advice! In today's world we get so caught up with anything and everything that we really lose sight of what's important. We go, go, go and never really stop, realize, and celebrate our accomplishments. We spend our lives setting goals and when we accomplish them we immediately set another instead of taking that chance to celebrate what we just went through.

Another amazing thing that I enjoyed from listening to them speak was when they talked about their relationship. They both openly talked about their faith in God and how it is through Him that they are able to stay connected as family and to make it through life's obstacles.  Both G and B expressed how important it is to them that they instill in Duke (their son) a good solid foundation in Christ. Giuliana also shared that she feels that God allowed her to have cancer because He knew that she was a "loud mouth Italian" who would tell everyone about her journey and the importance of getting an annual mammogram.  It was so refreshing to hear someone from "Hollywood" say that they believe in God and in the power of prayer.

Overall, I could not be more impressed with The Rancics. Such a wonderful couple with an even more wonderful story to share! If you ever get the chance to see them in person, GO! It is more than worth it, it's a blessing!

By the way...I forgot to mention that Mrs. Giuliana Rancic herself liked the photo of us on Instagram!!

Here's a copy of G's newest book, "Going Off Script", that she signed for me. Such a fun read so far!

Hope you all have a blessed and wonderful week!
