It's a sick day for me today. So that means nothing but pajamas, Starbucks, and Christmas movies to shake this headache away! There is nothing that I love more than Christmas time, especially Christmas movies! I seriously watch them year round (don't judge me!). I've rounded up some of my all time favorite Christmas movies for y'all!
1. Elf
Who doesn't love this movie?! I'm a sucker for anything that has Will Ferrell in it and I love Zooey Deschanel too! This movie runs on repeat in my house.
2. How the Grinch Stole Christmas
Duh! My absolute favorite part of teaching was when it was Christmas time and I could make all my lessons Grinch themed. I actually saw the musical a few years back and it was AH-Mazing! If it comes near your town, you have to go!
3.The Santa Claus
This is a childhood favorite. I used to love watching Tim Allen on Home Improvement so I obviously love this movie too. This movie is a classic to me.
4. Hallmark Channel
I realize that this is not a movie, but the Hallmark Channel is KILLING it this year with all the new movie premiers! Any movie with Lacey Chabert in it good! Just to name a few.. A Royal Christmas and Matchmaker Santa are some of my favorites. Also, Candace Cameron Bure (aka DJ Tanner) has a TON of great movies on this channel as well. Let it Sow and Christmas Under Wraps are two favorites.
5. Rudolph
Do I really need to go into details of why this is a must see? Probably not. But, If you live near Galveston, Texas, Moody Gardens has a short version of this movie in 4D! What's 4D? Well, you see the movie in 3D and they also have smells, snow, water and they even shake your seat some during the movie. We took my niece and nephew and they loved it (I did too!).
6. Four Christmases
Vince Vaughn and Reese Witherspoon are perfect in this Christmas comedy! There is one part in the movie where Vince Vaughn's character is gagging and about to throw up (sounds gross, but it's hilarious) that I literally cry from laughing so hard.
7. Frosty the Snowman
This is another classic that does not need any convincing to watch. I love the classic Frosty movie, but there is one call Frosty Returns and it's super cute too!
8. Fred Claus
Okay, Vince Vaughn again. He and Will Ferrell are two of my favorite actors! Fred Claus is Santa Claus' brother that just does not have his life together. It's hilariously funny!
9. Little Women
I get that this is not really a Christmas movie, but every year growing up my mom and I would watch this at some point during Christmas break. If you have never seen this movie or read the book, you need to add this to the top of your to do list!
10. White Christmas
This is another classic movie that I remember playing on TV during my childhood. It's actually one of my mom's favorite movies. What's more Christmasy than Bing Crosby?
I'd love to hear some of your favorite holiday movies! Leave a comment below and share which ones you and your family love!
