Festive Friday! Gift Guide & Instagram Style Challenge

Gift Guide--Gifts for Her

Clare V. Calf Hair Clutch // Ugg Slippers // David Yurman // Tory Burch Flats // Patagonia Pullover
// Michael Kors Watch // Ray-Ban Sunnies // Magnolia Story // Monogram Necklace // Lumee Phone Case //

It's another Festive Friday! It's all about us girls today! All of these items listed above are on my Christmas List this year. We are getting so close to Christmas and time is ticking to get the those gifts here before the 25th. If your loved ones have no idea what to get you this year, help them out! I always send links to websites for items that I want to my husband by text every year. I try to make it as easy as possible for him because the holidays can be stressful and for a man who doesn't like to shop, the last thing he wants to do is walk around a department store without a clue of what to buy. So help your guy out a little this year and send him sizes, pictures, and websites!

First up the infamous Clare V. Calf Hair clutch. What can I say, I love anything that resembles leopard print. I just can't help it!

I am a huge fan of Ugg, and these slippers just look so cozy! Perfect for taking the dog out, or running outside to grab the newspaper. If you are an Instagram lover, you've probably seen every style blogger wearing one (or three!) of these David Yurman cuffs. They are a little pricey, but could be very versatile. Another versatile item would be these GORGEOUS Tory Burch flats. These cuties would transition right into Spring beautifully

I actually have a Patagonia zip up very similar to one listed above. I highly recommend Patagonia and this half zip pullover is great. I'm always drawn to white fleece for some reason. One of the top gift on my list is this Michael Kors Bluetooth Smart Watch. I've been wanting a rose gold watch for some time now. If you've never heard of this watch before, watch the video on the link I provided.

Who doesn't need a great new pair of sunglasses? I LOVE these Ray-Bans! Plus, they are another great piece to transition into Spring! Okay, when I grow up I want to be Joanna Gains. Seriously, I love her and Chip and Fixer Upper. I really want to read their new book. I can see myself wrapped up in a blanket this holiday diving into this book! I feel like every Southern girl loves Joanna Gains and Monograms! I know I do. I have several monogram necklaces, but I really like the font of this particular one. Also, I don't have a gold monogram necklace!

Last on my list is a new phone case. Not just any phone case, but a selfie lover's dream phone case. The Lumme case has lighting around the front of the screen to make that perfect selfie lighting just right!

I am two days in on the new #DecemberWearWhatWhere Style Challenge on Instagram! If you'd like to play along all you have to do is follow the host that are listed at the bottom of the image and create an outfit that goes along with what ever the day's theme is. Lastly, make sure you hashtag your photo with #decemberwearwhatwhere So easy and so fun! You could also win some awesome prizes!!

Happy Holidays!

Holiday Movie Guide

// Pajama bottoms // Holiday pillows {similar}//

It's a sick day for me today. So that means nothing but pajamas, Starbucks, and Christmas movies to shake this headache away! There is nothing that I love more than Christmas time, especially Christmas movies! I seriously watch them year round (don't judge me!). I've rounded up some of my all time favorite Christmas movies for y'all!

1. Elf
Who doesn't love this movie?! I'm a sucker for anything that has Will Ferrell in it and I love Zooey Deschanel too! This movie runs on repeat in my house.

2. How the Grinch Stole Christmas
Duh! My absolute favorite part of teaching was when it was Christmas time and I could make all my lessons Grinch themed. I actually saw the musical a few years back and it was AH-Mazing! If it comes near your town, you have to go!

3.The Santa Claus
This is a childhood favorite. I used to love watching Tim Allen on Home Improvement so I obviously love this movie too. This movie is a classic to me.

4. Hallmark Channel
I realize that this is not a movie, but the Hallmark Channel is KILLING it this year with all the new movie premiers! Any movie with Lacey Chabert in it good! Just to name a few.. A Royal Christmas and Matchmaker Santa are some of my favorites. Also, Candace Cameron Bure (aka DJ Tanner) has a TON of great movies on this channel as well. Let it Sow and Christmas Under Wraps are two favorites.

5. Rudolph
Do I really need to go into details of why this is a must see? Probably not. But, If you live near Galveston, Texas, Moody Gardens has a short version of this movie in 4D! What's 4D? Well, you see the movie in 3D and they also have smells, snow, water and they even shake your seat some during the movie. We took my niece and nephew and they loved it (I did too!).

6. Four Christmases
Vince Vaughn and Reese Witherspoon are perfect in this Christmas comedy! There is one part in the movie where Vince Vaughn's character is gagging and about to throw up (sounds gross, but it's hilarious) that I literally cry from laughing so hard.

7. Frosty the Snowman
This is another classic that does not need any convincing to watch. I love the classic Frosty movie, but there is one call Frosty Returns and it's super cute too!

8. Fred Claus
Okay, Vince Vaughn again. He and Will Ferrell are two of my favorite actors! Fred Claus is Santa Claus' brother that just does not have his life together. It's hilariously funny!

9. Little Women
I get that this is not really a Christmas movie, but every year growing up my mom and I would watch this at some point during Christmas break. If you have never seen this movie or read the book, you need to add this to the top of your to do list!

10. White Christmas
This is another classic movie that I remember playing on TV during my childhood. It's actually one of my mom's favorite movies. What's more Christmasy than Bing Crosby?

I'd love to hear some of your favorite holiday movies! Leave a comment below and share which ones you and your family love!

Festive Friday! Gift Guide--Gifts for Him

Gift Guide--Gifts for Him

Jack Spade Wallet // Red Sox Cap // Siracha To-Go // Cashmere Beanie // L.L. Bean Slippers // Grooming Set // Patagonia Pullover  // Daniel Wellington Watch // Bottle Opener

Anyone else's husband/boyfriend/son/brother picky like mine? Here are some safe picks to buy this season for your the guy in your life.

Every guy could use a new wallet right? This Jack Spade wallet is perfect and easy on your wallet! Hats are a pretty safe bet too. Go with either your guy's favorite team baseball cap or get him this Cashmere Beanie from Nordstrom. I'm always bugging my husband to take the dog out at all hours of the night and day, so these L.L. Bean slippers will be perfect to leave by the door. My husband really likes pullovers. So I'm definitely getting him this Patagonia pullover (I LOVE this color!). Just like wallets, every guy could use a watch upgrade! Daniel Wellington has some really great options. If you buy him one, he might just buy you one too!

Stocking stuffers are my favorite, but my husband usually just likes the candy. But, I think it's a good idea to sneak a few things into the stocking that 1. he might need and 2. are funny. For things he might need, this Grooming Set is perfect and the key chain bottle opener. For funny, this To-Go Siracha is right on the money! Y'all, I don't know what it is about guys, but they love eating hot stuff!

I hope you were able to get a few ideas for the guy in your life!

Sunday Adventure

Grey Top // Camo Hat {Similar} // Monogram Necklace {Similar} // Jeans // Shoes //Handbag {Similar}
Every now and then my husband will wake me up and ask if I want to go for a drive. That usually means we get in the car (head to Starbucks first!) and just start driving without knowing where we end up. Today was one of those days! We ended up driving out to Sea Rim State Park, somewhere I remember going as a child with my family but haven't been in years. Let me tell you, Texas State Parks have got it going on! They are always so clean and beautiful!

What's great about Sea Rim State Park is that it is on the water so there is a pretty nice beach similar to Crystal Beach (Southeast Texas readers, you know what I'm talking about). And, it has some really cool marsh area that you can walk through by boardwalk. If you decided to walk on the boardwalk, watch out for alligators! Seriously, the second we got off the ground and over water there was one, freaked me out! I actually turned around to go back to the car, but my husband escorted me by Mr. Alligator. On our way out we were looking for him, but couldn't find him. He saw us though and let us know by HISSING at us! EEKK! I sprinted the rest of the way to the car!

While we were at the beach area, I found TONS of sea glass! I love sea glass and the colors. I've collected it for a few years now from every beach I go to and place it in a large glass container on my dinning room table. It's so pretty!

I'm so thankful for the hat that I was wearing today. It was so windy out and my hair really needs to be washed, this hat was perfect for camouflaging my greasy hair. My grey top is one of my favorites, I had it for a year now and I'm pretty sure I bought every color that it comes it. It's under $20 too!. The dark grey color really makes my silver monogrammed necklace pop! My ripped jeans are a recent buy from Target. Also, I recently purchased my Ugg slip on shoes from Nordstrom. They were really my saving grace today. When you have no idea where you are going or what you'll be doing, these shoes are perfect for those situations!

Hope you all are having a happy Sunday too!

I absolutely love Christmas! I listen to Christmas music and watch Christmas movies all year long. When it comes to Christmas morning, my favorite thing to open was my stocking. Sephora and Ulta always have a great selection of mini versions of some really great hair and make up products. An Eye for an Eye..incredible eye-wear!

As you all know, I love to shop! It does not matter if I'm buying a trendy tee or a cute fall pillow for my home, I love the feeling I get inside when I find the perfect piece! But, what if the joy and happiness I feel when shopping can be shared with another person in need? How great would that be! Well, it can! Warby Parker is a truly innovative company that not only provides affordable and quality eye-wear for their customers, but also returns the favor by donating a pair to a person in need. Warby Parker has beautiful designs for eyeglasses as well as awesome sunglasses.

Recently Warby Parker has teamed up with Leith Clark to provide retro inspired eye-wear. What's so great about this team up is not only the eye-wear itself, but Warby Parker will also be making a donation to The United Nations Foundation, Girl Up. This foundation empowers girls to stand up for other girls in need and to be leaders in changing their communities. Join me in supporting Warby Parker in their partnership with Leith Clark and #GirlUP!

Six adorable frames were created for this team up. All six frame can be purchased as either sunglasses, prescription lenses, or prescription sunglasses. If you are looking for one of a kind eye-wear, look no further!

Have a look shall we?

Fleta
Ummmm...Helloooo! Let me introduce you to Fleta. I think of these as a party for your face. I mean come on, how could you have a bad day when you glance at yourself in the mirror wearing these beauties? I'm loving the pink lenses too!

Lilia // Lilia
Next up is Lilia. This duo comes in two options, the crystal clear lenses or with the pink lenses. What I really adore about the Lilia is the amazing gold hardware! Another very 70's vibe eye-wear that would pair greatly with a pouty pink lip and trendy bell bottoms! Don't forget to throw on a cute choker to finish off the look!

Oriel // Oriel
Meet Oriel! She too comes in two options of lens color. In my opinion the gold frames are what make these glasses a showstopper! The unique detailing stamped into the frames are just incredible. I think these will be a perfect addition to your upcoming holiday outfits!

Wednesday Jet Black // Wednesday Oak Barrel
Although these are named Wednesday, they are just perfect for any day of the week! I own plenty of reading glasses, but sadly mine are not nearly this cute! Throw on a pencil skirt, heels, and this handbag and you'll be voted best dressed!

Zelda // Zelda
Zelda is just as unique as her name! I'm loving the winged tips on these glasses. Also the gold nose piece is HEAVEN! I'd add a great cat-eye liner underneath to complete the look.
Valda
Last but certainly not least, my personal favorite, Valda. Gold and black..LOVE! Give me a black moto jacket and some over the knee boots and I'm Fall ready. I'm adding these to my Christmas wish list. Anyone else send pictures with links to their husband/boyfriend of things they want for Christmas? If not, you should really try it (ha!).

Go check out Warby Parker and shop for a cause! Don't forget to let them know that you did by tagging them in your photo @WarbyParker.

Wild Weekend

Top // Kendra // Lip Exfoliate //  Under-Eye (similar) // Eye-Pads (similar)

As the weekend is quickly making its exit, I thought I'd share my wild weekend plans. Really and truly, there was not a single thing wild about my weekend! The older I get the more I enjoy quite days a home. This weekend was a dream! First of all my inner nerd came out as I binged watch a marathon of Harry Potter thanks to Freeform! And, I've been stashing away some at home spa day items that I decided to finally use.

First off was a hair mask. My hair has been user dry lately. My friend actually introduced me to this Moroccan Oil hair mask. It's incredible! She may or may not have left it at my house and I've been using it...shhhhhhh.

As the hair mask is doing its thing, I added a pair of under-eye DePuff eye pads to my face. The ones I used are by Global Beauty Care  {similar linked here}. I loved using them! It made my face feel tingly and stick really well to your face, which is perfect for when I was painting my nails! Typically in the summer time my go to color is white or a light pink, but for the fall I love gray tone! I feel like I've finally masted the art of painting my nails with my left hand (I'm right handed). That accomplishment should come with a gold metal!

After I washed out the hair mask, I added the Kendra Silkening Gloss to my hair. Oh My Gosh! This stuff smells AMAZING!! I actually overheard my hairstylist say that her friend uses this as a face primer too!

One of my newest favorite products is GLAMGLOW's Fizzy Lip Exfoliation Treatment. I always struggle in the Fall/Winter months with dry cracked lips. Trying to wear the matte lip kits are nearly impossible for me. All the color will just peel right off. That's why I was so happy to find this lip exfoliate. It smells great and more importantly works! At first I wasn't sold on it because it dried out my lips, but after using it for two weeks I have noticed a huge difference!

Lastly, my favorite part. Cooling Eye Pads! The brand I used was from Absolute New York {similar liked here}. This particular brand has they cooling eye pads in cucumber, kiwi, and aloe vera. All you  have to do is place the packs in the refrigerator before use.  I'll be honest, after 5 mins on my face, I fell right to sleep!

Hope you all are enjoying your weekend! Make sure you follow me on Instagram and Pinterest!
