How to use Emoticode

There is a new and improved way to find out where certain items (tops, shoes, makeup, jewels, etc) are from that I post via Instagram and or on Snapchat! It's called Emoticode. Trust me it's super easy to use. Here's the details.....

First of all, you need to download the Emoticode App. Click here for a direct link.

So, if you see a picture that has emojis in the caption followed by a few letters then that's an Emoticode.  Just like this picture below...

Next, you simply take a screen shot of the picture (make sure that the emojis are visible in the screenshot, click the more option if you do not see the emojis). Open the Emoticode app and click "Import Photo with an Emoticode". Locate the screenshot in your photos and click on the photo. The photo will then be scanned. Once complete, you will see image available to be clicked on with a direct link on where the item is from.

Ready to give it a try?

Go to my Instagram page (follow me if you do not already :) ) and screenshot a recent photo with an emoticode!

Summer Concert Style

Summer concert season is in full blast! Who are y'all dying to see in concert? I'm kicking myself because Jessie James Decker (love her!) was in Texas a few months back and I really wish I would have gone to see her! In honor of concert season I've put together a few of my favorite pieces to wear this summer to see your favorite artist.
Concert Style

1. Lush Cross Front Oversize Tee- This Tee is effortless and will go with anything!
4. Line & Dot Chateau Romper- Perfect for any outdoor concert, it's hot y'all!
5. Extra Large Acrylic Block Monogram Necklace-I wear this necklace everyday! It goes with anything, plus a monogram is very Southern!
6. Topshop Off the Shoulder Romper-This adorable romper comes in multiple colors!
7. Kacie Off Shoulder Top- This top is PERFECTION!
 8. Rebecca Minkoff Isobel Saddle Bag- When you're at a concert, you need your hands free for dancing, signing, selfies, snapchat.....the list goes on and on. This cross body bag is perfect and the color will go with anything. The cute tassels have my heart :)
9. Levi's Cutoff- It's summertime! Take note from Jessie James Decker and Carrie Underwood and let those legs out in a pair of cutoff short! (wish your legs were a little bit darker? Try the Beeca Luminous Body Mousse!)

Wait!, What about shoes?!? There's only one type of shoe that should be on your mind this summer! No, not flip-flops or wedges. I'm talking about boots y'all! In the South, you at least need to own one pair cowgirl boots or cowboy boots. Why not make it a fabulous pair? I'm obsessed with these boots from King Ranch Saddle Shop

Cross Python Boots- LOVE! Would go with anything.

Peacock Boots- Hands down favorite! I L-O-V-E these!
Tan and Multicolor Fringe Boots- How fun are these?!?

#NSale

#NSale

Unless you've been living under a rock lately, then you've seen all your favorite Fashion Bloggers posting about the NSale! What's the NSale?! It's the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale! Everything on the sale is drastically marked down. So, it's the perfect opportunity to get your wardrobe ready for Fall! I'll be pretending that it's Fall outside for the next few months since this Texas heat wont be gone until November. Right now all Nordstrom Credit or Debit Card holders have access to this sale early, but no worries if you don't! The NSales will be open to everyone on July 22nd! Unfortunately, the closest Nordstrom from where I live is 2 hours away. So I've been spending my afternoon doing a little bit of online retail therapy via the internet! To save you the time of clicking through the website, I've listed all the items that in my opinion are a MUST have for your closet. Take a look below! Click on the images for direct links to purchase from Nordstrom.
This lightweight jacket will be perfect for those crispy fall nights. I'm also loving this Olive Green color!
I can not help myself when it come to UGG boots..I just LOVE them! I buy a new pair every year. This Ava boot will probably be an everyday boot for me throughout the cold months. I'm planning on ordering these in the Chestnut color.
Cardigans are the best! You can dress them up or down so this BP. Open Front Cardigan will great for an everyday look. There are a few different colors to choose from, but I'm leaning towards the Tan Fog color.
Almost every Fashion Blogger that I follow has a pair of these Halogen Owen Flats. I've been holding back on purchasing these cuties because I didn't want to pay the almost $90 price tag. But, now they're on sale and this Calf Hair pattern has got me itching to place them in my shopping cart!
This Pullover...OMG...Need it now! Emily Ann Gemma from The Sweetest Thing Blog has this in the camel color. I LOVE her style and naturally, I'm purchasing it!
Everyone is posting pictures of this BP. Striped Crewneck Tee. It's only $17!
Here's another great top from BP. Would be great for work paired with a pair of skinnies and black pointy pumps! I'm pretty sure The Teacher Diva has this top. Her clothing choice are AMAZING!
I've got a thing for plaid and I will not apologize for it! What a simple and easy look that could be created with this Billabong cardigan. I'm thinking about wearing a deep v white or gray tee under mine.
Kendra, Kendra, Kendra...Love.
See what I mean, plaid obsession...
Who doesn't love Steve Madden shoes?!? I can not thing of a more perfect shoe for transitioning from Summer into Fall.
Lastly, this Lace-Up pullover. I think I may live in this. I'm picturing wearing this with ripped jeans and leggings. Super easy and cute look! Thanks for stopping by Mrs. Southern Style! Happy shopping!

Favorite New Product

Hey everyone! I stumbled across this amazing summer essential a few months ago when I was desperately searching for somethings to cover my peeling spray tan. I went to Sephora freaking out because I was a bridesmaid in my sister-in-laws wedding the next day and my spray tan was peeling!!! Nightmare! The salesperson immediately told me about Becca Luminous Body Perfecting Mousse. I didn't even test it out, I just rushed to the sales counter and purchased it. Y'all know that Sephora is the best and will let you return almost anything as long as you have a receipt and you haven't used the entire bottle :) So, I had no worries about spending the money on it.

Anyways, I actually didn't end up using the mousse for the wedding (my dress covered up the peeling) and had all intentions of returning the product. Well, life happened and I forgot. Flash forward a few months on my weekend trip to Galveston Beach. It's super hot and the last thing I want to do is put on make up to go out for dinner. But, because I'm so obsessed with keeping my face covered from the sun, my face is at least 3 shades lighter than the rest on my skin. I primed my face then rubbed the mousse all over my face. Trust me, it's al little scary at first because the mousse is really dark, but as long as you rubb it in well, it will look great! Add some consealer, powered, eye shadow, eyeliner, lips, eyebrows, mascara and top it off with finishing spray annnnndddd there you have it! The most lightweight summer makeup ever!
