Holiday Movie Guide

// Pajama bottoms // Holiday pillows {similar}//

It's a sick day for me today. So that means nothing but pajamas, Starbucks, and Christmas movies to shake this headache away! There is nothing that I love more than Christmas time, especially Christmas movies! I seriously watch them year round (don't judge me!). I've rounded up some of my all time favorite Christmas movies for y'all!

1. Elf
Who doesn't love this movie?! I'm a sucker for anything that has Will Ferrell in it and I love Zooey Deschanel too! This movie runs on repeat in my house.

2. How the Grinch Stole Christmas
Duh! My absolute favorite part of teaching was when it was Christmas time and I could make all my lessons Grinch themed. I actually saw the musical a few years back and it was AH-Mazing! If it comes near your town, you have to go!

3.The Santa Claus
This is a childhood favorite. I used to love watching Tim Allen on Home Improvement so I obviously love this movie too. This movie is a classic to me.

4. Hallmark Channel
I realize that this is not a movie, but the Hallmark Channel is KILLING it this year with all the new movie premiers! Any movie with Lacey Chabert in it good! Just to name a few.. A Royal Christmas and Matchmaker Santa are some of my favorites. Also, Candace Cameron Bure (aka DJ Tanner) has a TON of great movies on this channel as well. Let it Sow and Christmas Under Wraps are two favorites.

5. Rudolph
Do I really need to go into details of why this is a must see? Probably not. But, If you live near Galveston, Texas, Moody Gardens has a short version of this movie in 4D! What's 4D? Well, you see the movie in 3D and they also have smells, snow, water and they even shake your seat some during the movie. We took my niece and nephew and they loved it (I did too!).

6. Four Christmases
Vince Vaughn and Reese Witherspoon are perfect in this Christmas comedy! There is one part in the movie where Vince Vaughn's character is gagging and about to throw up (sounds gross, but it's hilarious) that I literally cry from laughing so hard.

7. Frosty the Snowman
This is another classic that does not need any convincing to watch. I love the classic Frosty movie, but there is one call Frosty Returns and it's super cute too!

8. Fred Claus
Okay, Vince Vaughn again. He and Will Ferrell are two of my favorite actors! Fred Claus is Santa Claus' brother that just does not have his life together. It's hilariously funny!

9. Little Women
I get that this is not really a Christmas movie, but every year growing up my mom and I would watch this at some point during Christmas break. If you have never seen this movie or read the book, you need to add this to the top of your to do list!

10. White Christmas
This is another classic movie that I remember playing on TV during my childhood. It's actually one of my mom's favorite movies. What's more Christmasy than Bing Crosby?

I'd love to hear some of your favorite holiday movies! Leave a comment below and share which ones you and your family love!

Festive Friday! Gift Guide--Gifts for Him

Gift Guide--Gifts for Him

Jack Spade Wallet // Red Sox Cap // Siracha To-Go // Cashmere Beanie // L.L. Bean Slippers // Grooming Set // Patagonia Pullover  // Daniel Wellington Watch // Bottle Opener

Anyone else's husband/boyfriend/son/brother picky like mine? Here are some safe picks to buy this season for your the guy in your life.

Every guy could use a new wallet right? This Jack Spade wallet is perfect and easy on your wallet! Hats are a pretty safe bet too. Go with either your guy's favorite team baseball cap or get him this Cashmere Beanie from Nordstrom. I'm always bugging my husband to take the dog out at all hours of the night and day, so these L.L. Bean slippers will be perfect to leave by the door. My husband really likes pullovers. So I'm definitely getting him this Patagonia pullover (I LOVE this color!). Just like wallets, every guy could use a watch upgrade! Daniel Wellington has some really great options. If you buy him one, he might just buy you one too!

Stocking stuffers are my favorite, but my husband usually just likes the candy. But, I think it's a good idea to sneak a few things into the stocking that 1. he might need and 2. are funny. For things he might need, this Grooming Set is perfect and the key chain bottle opener. For funny, this To-Go Siracha is right on the money! Y'all, I don't know what it is about guys, but they love eating hot stuff!

I hope you were able to get a few ideas for the guy in your life!

Sunday Adventure

Grey Top // Camo Hat {Similar} // Monogram Necklace {Similar} // Jeans // Shoes //Handbag {Similar}
Every now and then my husband will wake me up and ask if I want to go for a drive. That usually means we get in the car (head to Starbucks first!) and just start driving without knowing where we end up. Today was one of those days! We ended up driving out to Sea Rim State Park, somewhere I remember going as a child with my family but haven't been in years. Let me tell you, Texas State Parks have got it going on! They are always so clean and beautiful!

What's great about Sea Rim State Park is that it is on the water so there is a pretty nice beach similar to Crystal Beach (Southeast Texas readers, you know what I'm talking about). And, it has some really cool marsh area that you can walk through by boardwalk. If you decided to walk on the boardwalk, watch out for alligators! Seriously, the second we got off the ground and over water there was one, freaked me out! I actually turned around to go back to the car, but my husband escorted me by Mr. Alligator. On our way out we were looking for him, but couldn't find him. He saw us though and let us know by HISSING at us! EEKK! I sprinted the rest of the way to the car!

While we were at the beach area, I found TONS of sea glass! I love sea glass and the colors. I've collected it for a few years now from every beach I go to and place it in a large glass container on my dinning room table. It's so pretty!

I'm so thankful for the hat that I was wearing today. It was so windy out and my hair really needs to be washed, this hat was perfect for camouflaging my greasy hair. My grey top is one of my favorites, I had it for a year now and I'm pretty sure I bought every color that it comes it. It's under $20 too!. The dark grey color really makes my silver monogrammed necklace pop! My ripped jeans are a recent buy from Target. Also, I recently purchased my Ugg slip on shoes from Nordstrom. They were really my saving grace today. When you have no idea where you are going or what you'll be doing, these shoes are perfect for those situations!

Hope you all are having a happy Sunday too!

Gift Guide--Stocking Stuffers for Her

Drybar // Stella McCartney Pop // MoroccanOil // Smashbox Primer // Cuff // Sephora Mask // BP. Ring // GlamGlow Lip Scrub // Leopard Beanie // Eye Mask // Stila Eye Shadow

I absolutely love Christmas! I listen to Christmas music and watch Christmas movies all year long. When it comes to Christmas morning, my favorite thing to open was my stocking. You just never know what could be stuffed inside! I love when I have trial/travel size items in my stocking. Sephora and Ulta always have a great selection of mini versions of some really great hair and make up products. I've linked a few of my favorite items above that would work great as stocking stuffers for your daughter, sister, friend, girlfriend, wife or as a present for yourself!

Hope you enjoy!
