I've really been a bad mama and haven't updated y'all on Wilson! Y'all seem to have loved my birth story and 1 month update post so I thought it would be a good time to finally share what's been going on with my little man!
It really seems like yesterday I was in the hospital giving birth! Now I have a 15 month old on my hands! He is just full of life and literally running allllllll over the place! Life is good y'all!
With the Christmas holidays quickly approaching I'm scrambling to find time to shop for Christmas presents! I hate being unprepared and not really into shopping with crowds of people so I'll be doing most, if not all, my shopping online. Hellooooo Amazon Prime! If only we got free gift wrapping with our Prime Membership! I'd be all set then!
If you're like me and have a young one (under 2) at home you're probably wondering what in the world do I buy them for Christmas? What can I put in their stocking that they won't choke on? How many presents is enough/too much?

Books! Yes, books. Wilson loves books. He will just sit on the floor and turn the pages of a book and it just melts my heart! I definitely recommend getting books that are not paperback. We have a few books that are in great need of going to the book hospital :) Why are books a good idea for a Christmas present? Because you are fostering your child's love for reading which is soooooo important. As a former elementary reading teacher, I can vouch for this! You are also setting the tone that toys are not the only type of gift you can receive. Plus, there are tons of books that would fit perfectly in your little one's stocking!

0-5 months
You little is probably not doing much besides eating, sleeping, and filling up diapers. This is a hard age to purchase for. Here's what Wilson loved during these months..
Life is starting to get a little more interesting! You little one more than likely sitting up on their own, rolling from tummy to back and forth, crawling, and for some of y'all WALKING! These months were when I remember Wilson really showing us his personality! Here's some of his favorite things to play with during these months..
This is a crazy time for parents! You're thinking about how close you are to your child's one year birthday, if not planning it while also thinking about Christmas presents.
This is the stage that we are currently in. Some of these items I have already purchased or plan to for his Christmas gifts. I'm also thinking ahead and purchasing some items that he might not be quite ready for but will be in a few months. I'll stash those away until we are ready to use them.
These little humans grow fasttttttt! I feel like I'm constantly buying pjs and outfits! Right now is such a good time to buy clothing for your child. There are soooo many sales going on. It's also a good idea to plan ahead when it comes to buying clothes. Since it's almost Winter, shorts and short sleeve shirts are super cheap! So stock up and save! One of my absolute favorite places to shop for my son is from Old Navy. I just feel like the prices are good, the clothes are well made, and they are super cute! There are not that many places that, in my opinion, have cute clothes for boys. So, when I need something for Wilson Old Navy is usually my go to! Another place I really like is Oshkosh. They have some super cute graphic tee.
