We chickened/talked ourselves out of going last min. Eeeek! Hopefully this will not come back to haunt me during delivery. For some reason I have it in mind that the less I know going into the delivery of my first child, the better. Am I crazy?
There's just sooooo many things that could happen/will happen in the delivery room that I'm just going to go with the flow and trust my doctor and nurses. I mean they are the professionals, right? In my mind there is no real way to prepare yourself for what will happen, so the more easy going I can be the better. I know some moms have birthing plans and are very set on the whole birth going a specific way, but that's just not me (thank God!).
We did however attend a class at the hospital called Baby Care (well, not the whole thing). Here's a few takeaways that I learned from this class:
1. Don't try a new restaurant out before going to sit in a class for a few hours. Trust me, your stomach will embarrass you (eeekkk!) and you might just get locked out of the hospital. Not saying that happen to us or anything (wink, wink)
2. I'm deathly afraid of caring for our baby's circumcision
3. I'm starting to think we should have taken the birthing class...
4. Time to get my act together and get a pediatrician, get the baby room set up, and start preparing for all the madness (a good madness) that's to come.

There is one more that we are planning on attending in August that will teach me about breastfeeding. I'm very excited about this one. I do plan on breastfeeding as long as I can, so I can't wait to go this class and learn some tips and tricks!
Mini Bump date:
Week: 33 weeks and 2 days! (less than 7 weeks to go!)
Working Out: I've picked up the walking again and am starting back on doing 50 squats a day.
Cravings: I've recently became obsessed with Special K Red Berries cereal.
Symptoms: Sleeping is getting very difficult. I'm pretty uncomfortable all the time. I usually go to sleep around 8:45/9 pm (I know, I'm a granny) and wake up from 11 pm until 4 am! I get up for work at 5:30 am so I'm pretty tired allllll day long. I guess I'm getting myself ready for those sleepless nights!
Most Excited About: My baby shower is this weekend! I'm so pumped to see everyone and to eat shower food! Anyone but me just love the food at baby/wedding showers?!? I'm most looking forward to Texas Sheet Cake! OMG, if you have never had it I feel bad for you. It's the best thing ever!
Weirdness of Pregnancy: So lately, baby boy has been EXTREMELY active in my tummy! He's always moved around a lot, but I guess now that he's getting ready to make his exit strategy, the movement is just so much more evident. My entire belly will shift from one side to the other. I can even touch my belly sometimes and he will try to move away from where I touch (I guess I'm already irritating him!). It's such a weird feeling but very cool at the same time.
Cleo: I've started to pretend that I have a baby in my arms while walking around the house. I pretend that I pick the baby up from his crib and am holding just to see if Cleo is even at all interested in what I'm doing. Well, the verdict is that she is VERY interested. Yikes! So, I'm going to really start working with her on not jumping up on me or anyone for that matter. I probably should have been doing this all along but....yeah I haven't. We really do still think that she will be ok with the baby around, but we know that we have to keep a close eye on her at all times just to be sure.
