I'm officially 38 weeks and 5 days pregnant and all I can do is wait! I'm pretty much terrified that any second/day/hour now I could go into labor! My last Dr. appointment (37 week check up) really hit me hard that there was actually a baby in there..my Dr. could feel the baby's head and said that I had started to dilate! Eeekk! But, this week he told me that there was no change :( :( :(
Knowing that our lives could change forever at a moment's notice and the anticipation of labor and what our baby boy is going to look like is slowly killing me! My poor husband is on edge too! He started back at work this week so every time I call/text him he thinks "it's time".
Keeping myself busy has been the best way to keep my mind from counting down the seconds left until my due date. So, other than *still* working my full-time job, I spend my days on Pinterest searching for blogs where mom bloggers have recommended products for postpartum recovery.
Here are some of the items that I have picked up last minute that other blogger moms have recommended.
Fridababy MomWasher : Supposedly this stuff is AH-Mazing! I'll keep you posted on my thoughts :)
Milkies Milk-Saver Breast Milk Collector Storage : Apparently if you are nursing or pumping from one side the other side will leak! So, this will help save any milk coming from the other side. The nurse from our breastfeeding class at our hospital actually talked about this product. She mentioned another one called Haakaa too, but I'm going to go with the Milkies one.
Tucks Pads : These have really great reviews! People are raving about how good these work for your lady part healing :) Most def. keeping these handy!
Dermoplast Pain Spray : Another items everyone talks about for healing and dealing with the pain of delivery is this spray. You can use for so many other things other than postpartum care. Everyone says to make sure you get the blue bottle since that's one that has a "cooling".
Comfy/Loose Clothing : After your body has been put through the ringer of 9 months of growing a baby and then actually delivering the baby the last thing you want on your body is tight clingy clothing. From what I'm told we will be leaking, bleeding, and just pretty much miserable for a few weeks, so lounge wear that is comfortable is a MUST! Also, you'll need access to your new feeding utensils (aka your boobs!) if you are going to breastfeed.
It's personalized with my baby boy's name on it (Wilson)! Maybe if I start wearing it everyday he'll come sooner!!! :)
