Baby Proofing made EASY!

If you are like me, the second I found out I was  pregnant I started noticing how many electrical outlets that we have in our house, the wobbly shelves in my living room and the number of kitchen cabinets we have. Why? Because I would soon need to baby proof my house!

Wilson is 11 months old and really hasn't tried *much* to mess with things in our house. Recently, he has shown a lot of interest in the toilet,. Then a few days later he started opening the kitchen cabinets (UGH). So, we knew we had to do something FAST!

Amazon Prime to the rescue! Ha!

I had no idea what I was looking for, what brand would be best, etc.. So, I just did what I normally do with Amazon..check the reviews. Well, good thing I did because I found some GOOD stuff!

I'm all about easy. I barely have time to do anything at this point and the last thing I need is to spend hours trying to figure out how to attach a baby proofing device to my cabinets. Y'all it literally took us MINUTES to completely baby proof our house (minus moving furniture).

OK first, is the obvious. Plugs for your electrical outlets. This is pretty much the same no matter what brand you get, but just in case you want to pick up some from Amazon, these are the ones I purchased.

My favorite baby proofing item has been these for our kitchen cabinets. I had no idea what I was getting myself into when it came to installing baby proofing for your cabinets. I honestly thought it was going to take at least 5 or 6 power tools! Ha!  N.O.P.E. since our cabinets have a "lip" all we had to was to take the backing off of the back and stick it on to the back of the cabinet. DONE! Simple Simple.

Another easy baby proofing device I purchased was these for keeping our toilet seat closed. Wilson loves to crawl into the bathroom and lift up the seat. I can just imagine what all we'd find in the toilet bowl if we didn't lock it up! All you have to do is take the backing off the sticker and apply to the top lid and the toilet, snap the lock closed and viola!

I hope this helps all you busy mama's out there!

Bye Mom Guilt

This week I have been struggling so much with Mom guilt and the unnecessary stress that I have been putting on myself. It sounds so ridiculous that I am even working myself up over planning my soon to be one year old's first birthday party, but I AM! I've been searching Pinterest and Instagram for inspiration and I've seen these AMAZING photos of birthday parties that look like they've spent $1K on in decorations....so here I am trying to compete...WHY?
