Y'all this pregnancy thing is most amazing/crazy thing I have ever experienced in my life! I can not believe that I am half way through this pregnancy! Seems just like the other day we were waiting on the phone call from my doctor to confirm my pregnancy! I am trying to really enjoy every single minute of this pregnancy and not take any bit of it for granted.

You might be thinking, what in the world is a bumpdate? Well, a bumpdate is when you talk about all things you are experiencing at a certain point in your pregnancy. So many of my favorite mama bloggers do this every so often so I thought I'd give it a go!

Week: 20 weeks! (and a few days)

Due Date: Sept. 2nd (although we are hoping he comes the last week of Aug. since my insurance starts over in Sept. If not, we will be perfectly fine with whenever he decides to make his grand entrance into this world)

Size: According to my Ovia Pregnancy App, our baby is as long as a paper airplane.

Weight Gain: Welllllll....let's just say that I've most def. have GAINED :)

Working Out: Y'all I had such great intentions, but I've honestly dropped the ball on this. But, lately I've began walking about 2 miles in the morning and have started back with lifting some very light weights. I feel so much better when I do workout!

Cravings: For a while I wanted anything that was icy. I was obsessed with Cherry Icees from the gas station. But now, I cant really report any true cravings for any specific thing. If I think about wanting something, then I HAVE to have.

Aversions: I can't eat chicken. It grosses me out so much. Even Chick-fil-a chicken gets me.

Symptoms: Sleep is IMPOSSIBLE! I can not get comfortable at all. I know I'm not suppose to lay on my back, which is how I prefer to sleep,so I've been sleeping on my left side (which I'm told is best). I can not breathe when I'm not laying on my left side, so left side it is. I know I'm driving my husband crazy with tossing a turning and my big obnoxious pregnancy pillow. Everyone swears by the Snooggle, so I bought one and I just can't seem to figure this thing out! I get stuck in it when I have to get up to pee a 100 times each night!

Most Excited About: Feeling the baby move is the absolute best! Each night when I lay down to go to bed, he starts moving a lot! It feels like your stomach twitches. I'm also very excited about getting his room together. My mom and I have been shopping this week and have purchased a few things to get me started. My mom also bought our crib! It came in this week from Pottery Barn and I am super excited about getting it put together.

Weirdness of Pregnancy: Pregnancy dreams are SOOOOO strange! One dream was about all of my bras and panties hanging from the trees in our neighborhood. I've woken up with the song, "Ms. Susie had a steamboat, the steamboat had a bell. Ms. Susie went to Heaven, the steamboat went to hello operator I'm caller number 9, if you disconnect me I'll cut of your behind the refrigerator there was a piece of glass, Ms. Susie sat upon it and cut her little........" Weird, right?!

Cleo: For anyone who doesn't know, Cleo is our almost 3 year old Chocolate Lab. She's going to be such a great big sister! She's very interested in my bump. She smells it constantly and licks it. I think she's giving her baby brother kisses.

Names: We have not officially picked a name, but we do have a top contender. I've been told that I need to hurry up and pick a name so that my family can start getting stuff monogrammed. It's a Southern thing.

Feeling: I'm feeling great so far. I was never sick, which is a blessing, but I do feel HUGE. It's taking me a while to get use to my face getting rounder, my belly getting bigger, and the occasional aches and pains. I've started to own my bump and just embrace it all. It fun and challenging to dress all of this largeness, but I'm making it work! One big tip I'd give someone who is struggling with their new body is to buy some self tanner. There's just something about being tan that really makes me feel better!
