Pregnancy Realness

Outfit Details: Dress (Not Maternity) // Necklace // Bracelets // Chair // Book //

Can we just be real for a second about how it feels to be pregnant? I am so thankful for God allowing me to carry this precious baby boy, but it doesn't mean that everything is 100% enjoyable all the time. Some changes and pregnancy "symptoms" (if you will) are just down right weird! I thought I'd share some of my top strangest pregnancy symptoms with you all.

Disclaimer: I know that some of you might read this and are struggling with infertility and would give anything to feel all of these symptoms. I too struggled with infertility for years and ended up successfully getting pregnant through IUI, so please know that I do understand what you are feeling and am not discounting your feelings at all. Trust me, I understand 100%.

Sooo here we go..

First off the book that I am reading in the photos was gift from my mom. My mom was watching Home & Family on Hallmark and they were talking about this book and how good it was.. well.. a few days later Amazon Prime (my fav.) delivered it to my house. welllll..I hopped into a the bath decided to relax while reading this book...

Y'all, I was blushing, covering my eyes, jaw dropped, and just completely freaked out while reading this book. Just so you know, there are some pretty graphic pictures so I would not leave it out for anyone else to see. Some of the topics in this book were completely scary! There is a story in the book of a women growing a third boob! AHHH! So, here's your warning...while this book does inform you of other symptoms that are not mentioned in other pregnancy books, it's quite graphic and scary!

Crazy Dreams: One of the strangest things that I have encounter thus far is really, really strange dreams that you can remember when you wake up. I've had several strange/weird dreams but one in particular stands out as being extra weird. I'll save you all the random details, but the short version is that in my dream I peed out a goldfish....yep. WHY?! LOL!

Boobs: I'm a small chested girl and have always been. One thing I was looking forward to being pregnant was the chance to have larger breasts. Welllllll....things aren't going as one would hope. Larger boobs are not all they are cracked up to be. I hate wearing bras but now that my chest is growing I can not take mine off. I even wear one to sleep. For some reason it's just more comfortable to me.

Pregnancy Glow: We all hear people say that when you are pregnant you get this glow to you. Well friends, I have the glow! AND, the glow is also known as sweat! Yes, sweat. EVERYWHERE. My feet. My belly. My hands. My scalp. Sweat everywhere. Fun Fact: A mom friend of mine was telling me that I'll eventually get boob sweat (NOO!) and I'll have to start putting deodorant under by boobs.

Body Image: This might make me a horrible person, but I just want to see another pregnant girl that is the same week as me with a larger belly than I have. Social media is filled with all of these beautiful pregnant women that are tone and tanned with a cute little bump. They are working out up to the day they deliver. That's just not me. Yeah I might have a tan one week thanks to an at home spray tan, but I do more of lounging than lunges. I'm not throwing any "shade" at those who are working out while pregnant, just really making fun of myself for googling images of pregnant girls in the same week as me just looking for that one person who looks bigger than I do. Surely, I am not the only one who does that!

Heartburn: They say that if you have a lot of heartburn while pregnant than your baby will come out with a lot of hair. If that's the truth, then I'm 99% sure I'll be giving birth to a golden retriever. Heartburn can strike at any hour for any reason. I can drink a glass of water and get heartburn!

Peeing: Am I the only one that thinks that there should be a designated stall just for pregnant ladies? When you've got to go, you've got to go. My bladder likes to make me take frequent, hourly, trips to the restroom every night. Add in a pregnancy pillow that wraps around your body in to the intensity of needing to pee and you've go one comical site! I have the hardest time getting unwrapped from my pregnancy pillow every night! My husband laughs at me trying to get the "anaconda" off of me!

Hopefully this post brought a little laughter into your life and maybe even made you feel better about some of the weird things that are going on with your body while pregnant. Just know, everyone experience pregnancy differently and had their own take on how it makes them feel. This is just mine so far.
